Welcome

I grew up around a family absolutely in love with food and everything related to it. The atmosphere that it creates, the appreciation for food, the family bonding, the creation of food, the memories it engraves in all of our hearts.

This blog is about sweet indulgence of life!

In this blog you will find reviews... mainly photo reviews of places and restaurants that I`ve stumbled upon and have come to love.

About my postings: Until I am up to date ... my postings will not be chronological and please note do not assume I had all the food in one sitting.. though at times it will be, as I return to each place of interest I will add pictures as well.

I hope you enjoy my findings and eventually try them too!

What could be better:
1. Steak was cooked well done - asked for medium

Interesting Bit: Known for their Burgers.

180 Panorama

Location: 51st Floor, 55 Bloor Street West, Toronto, M4W 1A5 (Manulife Centre)
Website: http://www.panoramalounge.com/
________________________________________________________________
What I loved:
1. The view definitely is amazing!
2. Food

What could be better:
The quality of the seats are not that comfortable... We started off on the dinner setting tables (these chairs were uncomfortable) we ended up choosing a lounge like table - two love seats and a coffee table (you literally sank, so comfort level when eating was minimal)

Interesting Bit: The hot entrees below can be ordered as a tappas portion size. You must also indicate at the time of making reservations if you would like to be there for dinner or drinks, it will make a big difference in your seating arrangements. As well there is a cover charge if you go later into the evening as the place is considered a lounge.
Note: We ordered the whole hot menu and I believe 1-2 cold menu. I don`t believe we got to the dessert menu as you can see, we ordered a ridiculous amount of food for a party of five. What you see is the second round of plates already (I forgot to take a picture of the first round)
`
Entrees (top to bottom)
Baked  Halibut in a Herbed Panko Crust ($29)
Pan Roasted Chicken Supreme ($29)
Seared Beef Tenderloin Medallion ($34)

Moto Sushi

Location: 4901 Yonge St, Toronto, M2N 5N4 (North of Sheppard Ave)
________________________________________________________________
What I loved:
1. Tempura Moriwase, Beef Enoki Roll ($9.95), boats
2. Worksmanship on the sashimi cuts and sushi
3. Free noodle appetizer each person gets, such a simple soup and noodle app but soooo good!

What could be better:
1. Pricing could be better as you can see the pricing is on the expensive side however the value is definitely there!

Interesting Bit:
This place is just north of Le Grande movie theatre, if the streets are full you can always swing into the parking garage under Le Grande.

        Small combination ($39.95)
16 pcs sashimi, 12 pcs nigiri sushi, 12 pcs maki sushi
Small Sashimi 25 pcs ( $25.95)
                                                            Tempura Moriwase ($24.95)
Crispy lobster, soft shell crab, shrimp, vegetables
4 Rolls
Note: Unfortunately I do not remember exactly these rolls were, however they generally have really good rolls and as you can see presentation is a must.
 one of their Sake Martinis

 Beef Enoki Roll ($6.95)
 Hea Dup Pap Dinner ($15.95)
Chicken Teriyaki Dinner ($16.95)

1. Chef`s Cut, Schnitzel, Veal Francese, Oyster Tower ...
2. Endless list of beer choices
3. The live music is always great!

What could be better:
1. Steak Frites was good but Chef`s Cut steak was alot better.

Vinsanto Ristorante

Location: 28 Roytec Rd. (at Weston Road) Vaughan, Ontario, L4L 8E3
Website: www.vinsanto.ca
_______________________________________________________________
What I loved:
1.Beautiful bar! Very unique custom designed wood shelving unit made the bar look very stylish yet funcitonal. Led to a very small but functional and aromatic kitchen, open concept easy to see if your foods ready!
2.Had a mutual type of service, though we had A server other servers where still proactively clearing our table and filling our wine and water glasses.
3. Food was amazing from start to finish! If I had to pick my favourites...Beef Carpaccio, the Rib Eye Special and the Homemade Tiramisu.
4. Wine recommendation is a must, one of the cheapest bottle on the menu and has so much flavour and so crisp! Truely worth enjoying the whole bottle!

What could be better:
They are a very busy schedule they get booked in for two set of seating for the night, which obviously is normal, but found that food speed is alittle on the slow side. I gather it had something to do with the giant 20 person party that sat at the same seating time as we did. But it wasn't really noticecable as you enjoy the music and the wine it was easy to forget what time it was!

Interesting Bit: Had a live Jazz duo with vocals it was a nice touch to a classy evening

**Wine Recommendation**
Fiano Di Avellino, Terre Irpine ’08 Campania, Italy ($48)
From the hometown of Tony Soprano.

 Calamari alla Griglia ($13)
 Beef Carpaccio ($16)
 Agnello ($30)
grilled lamb chops, lamb ravioli
 Daily special (42)
dry-aged(30 days) grilled 10oz certified Rib Eye Steak
 Homemade Tiramisu ($8)
Italian Cream Torte ($8)

What I loved:
1. Truffle Mac N Cheese, Hot wings, Jalapeno cornbread.
2. Their service is great!
3. The atmosphere and decor makes you feel like you`re in a Texas restaurant.
4. The live music always adds a nice touch!

What could be better: Generally any of their pork dishes seem to be pretty dry even with the bbq sauce, however on the good side it's because they use lean meat.

Interesting Bit: Has live music on Wednesdays and weekends, they have their own beer a blonde, lager and light [they do not brew it in house, a local brewry does it for them =)]

Truffle Mac N Cheese w/side of Smoked Sausage ($14)
Pulled Pork Sandwich w/side of Ceasar Salad ($12)
Extra side orders of Jalapeno cornbread($3) and Sweet Potatoe Mash ($4)
61 Poutine w/added Pork ($7 w/added $4)
Mississippi Baby Back Ribs Full Rack ($26)
Texas Fried Chicken w/Jalapeno Cornbread & Slaw ($14)
