Welcome

I grew up around a family absolutely in love with food and everything related to it. The atmosphere that it creates, the appreciation for food, the family bonding, the creation of food, the memories it engraves in all of our hearts.

This blog is about sweet indulgence of life!

In this blog you will find reviews... mainly photo reviews of places and restaurants that I`ve stumbled upon and have come to love.

About my postings: Until I am up to date ... my postings will not be chronological and please note do not assume I had all the food in one sitting.. though at times it will be, as I return to each place of interest I will add pictures as well.

I hope you enjoy my findings and eventually try them too!

il Postino Ristorante

Location:186 Main St  Unionville, ON L3R 2G9
Website: http://www.ilpostinoristorante.com/
________________________________________________________________
What I loved:
1. The Rissottos are to die for here!
2. Osso Bucco - a favourite of mine, I do not find many places that makes this dish...this place makes a mouth watering one that is so tender and cooked to perfection!
3. This homey restaurant is owned and operated by a sweet couple, who always have a smile on their face - very welcoming!

Interesting Bit:

1. Located in the heart of Historic Mainstreet Unionville, one of my favourite streets in GTA!
2. il Postino "the postman" is actually an Italian movie, and you can find the movie poster in the restaurant as well

Location: 516 Danforth Ave  Toronto, ON M4K 1P6

What I loved:
1. sea scallop was good value and taste was cooked perfectly
2. lamb and pork chops were great !
3. I would definitely come back =)

What could be better:
1. Space: it is a typical downtown restaurant where you fit like a jigsaw puzzle into your seat and don't you dare lean back ...you might be leaning into the table behind you...because it's that tight!
2.Sangria - it was refreshing...but it was very watered down. For a person who has never tried it before it would have been great. However I am a sangria maker and love (white and red) and it was just not true to its nature.
3. Chicken on the mix platter was lean but pretty dry

Interesting Bit:
On Friday Live Greek Band at 8:00 pm and Belly Dancing show at 9:00pm.
On
Saturdays Live Greek Band Mediterranean sounds with Perry and Demos at 8:00 pm.

Belly Dancing shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pm
